Privacy
Short version: no cookies, only aggregated page-view statistics, and your saved names never leave your browser.
Names and generators
All names are generated by code running in your browser. The names you see and the options you pick in the generator are not sent to us or anyone else. Only the page address is counted in the statistics below; for a share link that address contains its random seed and options.
Your saved names and character cards
When you star a name, create a list or save a character card, it is stored in your browser’s local storage on this device. It is not uploaded, we cannot see it, and it is not shared with other devices. You can delete it at any time with the Delete buttons, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. Clearing browser data removes your lists, so download a .txt copy if you want a backup.
Visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)
To see how many people use the site and which pages they visit, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, does not use your browser storage or fingerprinting, and does not identify or follow individual visitors. We only see aggregated numbers, such as page views per page, referring sites, countries and device types. A small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com reports each page view to Cloudflare. The contents of your saved lists and character cards are never sent.
Cookies and advertising
This site sets no cookies and uses no tracking pixels or advertising scripts. Share links only contain a random seed and your generator options.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against attacks. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Changes in the future
The site may show ads (for example Google AdSense) or offer an email list in the future. If that happens, we will update this page first and ask for consent where the law requires it.
